Inspired by the famous 17th Claddagh ring, jewellery designer Eileen Moylan's award-winning collection draws inspiration from creations from the past for her contemporary designs.

The original Claddagh ring dates back to the late 17th century.  It is worn as a symbol of love, loyalty, and friendship. First created by goldsmith Richard Joyce in the little town of Claddagh, County Galway, the Claddagh ring was crafted to include two hands presenting a crowned heart. The three Claddagh symbols are the heart for love, the crown for loyalty, and two hands for friendship. Three powerful sentiments that embody the Irish spirit.

Christmas gift for my wife

Eileen and her team were very easy to work with and the communication especially in terms of shipping was fantastic.

I had never purchased from Claddagh Design before and found them on a general search. I was looking for a Christmas gift for my wife who's family once came from Ireland. These days, shipping times can be difficult at best. My gift left Ireland fairly quickly and when it arrived in New York I thought for sure I'd have it on time. Then it sat. But, as luck would have it, USPS did it's job and my gift arrived in Wisconsin on December 23rd and it was under the tree for Christmas. Would I recommend Eileen? Absolutely! Best wishes.
