Many of you will be familiar with our custom jewelry service as I love to feature the great custom designs we get to work on. I often use our Claddagh Design Blog as a opportunity to share some of the brilliant designs our customers create. There is an illusion out there that having a bespoke piece made can be an intimidating process. Don't let this put you off as it really couldn't be further from the truth. I'm sure many of the people who approach us about commission pieces don't think of themselves as especially artistic they just have a particular piece of jewellery in mind that they can't seem to get made anywhere else.
Thankfully that's where we come in, with a few emails, a few questions and a bit of sketching we send the customer our interpretation of their idea. Sometimes it needs tweaking and sometimes if it's a very clear brief we hit the nail on the head and get the sketch spot on! Here are just a few examples of jewellery that has been designed by you and made by us. Some of the pieces are based on products in our online Claddagh Design shop and others are completely unique creations.
This piece had a hand engraved Chinese symbol on the front and then a Celtic infinity knot on the back. I think the mix of the two symbols works really well together in this piece.
This customer took the idea of our Ogham bracelets and gave it his own twist.
Instead of having just a single silver chain, it has two finer silver chains which loop through the t-bar and on to the Ogham disc.
The next piece I worked on was made for a girl making her Confirmation. It's a simple letter pendant made in chunky silver. I made it so that the chain runs through the top of the letter for a more contemporary style.
Making custom jewelry is a great experience for us as we get to work with people around the world on exciting designs and the customer is happy knowing that their piece of jewelry is bespoke and one of a kind!
